TÜBİTAK Basic Sciences Research Institute (TBAE) continues to take important steps to increase its efforts to produce a wide range of qualified information in various branches of basic science and interdisciplinary fields, to organize scientific activities at international level and to provide Turkey with scientific competitiveness. Within the scope of the 'TBAE Science Talks' event organized in this direction, a presentation on "History, Status, Momentum, Possibilities and Challenges of Low Energy Nuclear Reactions" will be made by Prof. Dr. David J. Nagel on 5 December 2024 at 16:00. The presentation will be in English.

Prof. Dr. David J. Nagel is a scientist with expertise in physics and engineering. He is particularly known for his career in materials science, applied physics and condensed matter nuclear science. He was a researcher at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory for many years and made significant contributions to defense technology and basic science research. After leaving the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, he was a research professor at George Washington University, where he continued his work in the field of innovative energy technologies, particularly low-energy nuclear reactions. Nagel is known for his commitment to scientific methodology and international collaborations in this field.

With numerous scientific papers and presentations, he has become an important figure in both academic and industrial circles. He has had an inspiring career for those interested in energy technologies and materials science.
