Young domestic or foreign researchers who have completed their PhD in Türkiye or abroad or who are enrolled in a PhD program in Türkiye will be supported to participate as "Participating Researcher" in the research activities of TÜBİTAK Basic Sciences Research Institute (TBAE) in the fields of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology.
Participating Researcher support amount is determined as 32.000 TL per month for PhD students and 24.000 TL per month for PhD students. Participating Researchers will also be able to benefit from TBAE's Food and Transportation services.
This participation will be based on TBAE's research areas; Astronomy, Astrophysics, Quantum Physics, Cosmology, General Relativity, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, Photonics, Particle Physics, Nuclear Physics, Bioinformatics, Biology and Genetics, Computational Sciences, Quantum Chemistry. Soru: TBAE Katılımcı Araştırmacı Programı’ndaki sorumluluklarım nelerdir?
Cevap: Her 12 aylık dönemde, başvurduğunuz araştırma konusuyla ilgili olarak uluslararası Q1 veya Q2 indeksli dergilerde birinci yazar olarak en az bir akademik makale yayınlamanız beklenir. Bu sürede makalenin dergiye gönderilmiş veya yayına kabul edilmiş olması yeterlidir. Ayrıca, TBAE’nin düzenlediği etkinliklerde (okul, seminer vb.) aktif rol almanız ve TBAE yönetimi tarafından verilen ek görevleri (etkinlik düzenleme kurulu gibi) yerine getirmeniz beklenir.

Cevap: Students enrolled in a PhD program at any higher education institution and researchers with a PhD degree can apply to the program.
Soru: Who can be my academic advisor for my application?
Cevap: Academics with expertise on the subject of your research proposal (your PhD thesis advisor, university faculty members) can be your academic advisors.

Cevap: You can submit research proposals in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Quantum Physics, Cosmology, General Relativity, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, Photonics, Particle Physics, Nuclear Physics, Bioinformatics, Biology and Genetics, Computational Sciences and Quantum Chemistry.
Soru: I am working as a postdoctoral researcher/lecturer at a university. Can I apply to the program?
Cevap: Evet, TBAE’nin araştırma alanlarına uygun bir proje ile başvurabilirsiniz.
Soru: Can I apply to the program with my PhD thesis that I have just started?
Cevap: Evet, tez konunuz TBAE’nin araştırma alanlarıyla ilgiliyse başvuru yapabilirsiniz.
Soru: I completed my PhD at a university with a scholarship. Can I apply for my postdoctoral research with my former advisor?
Cevap: Yes, your PhD supervisor can be your academic advisor for your research proposal.
Soru: Can TUBITAK staff apply for this program?
Cevap: Evet, TÜBİTAK personeli araştırma konusu kapsamında TBAE’de çalışmalarını yürütebilir ancak burs alamaz.
Soru: Should I conduct my studies at an affiliated university or at your institute?
Cevap: Şehir dışında ikamet eden araştırmacılar için uzaktan çalışma mümkündür. İstanbul/Kocaeli’de yaşayan araştırmacıların belirli zamanlarda enstitüye gelmeleri beklenir. Bu durum başvurunun değerlendirilmesinde dikkate alınır.
Soru: Do you provide the necessary equipment or consumables to realize my project?
Cevap: No, the support is only for the scholarship. There is no payment for additional expenses.
Soru: Halihazırda TÜBİTAK’tan başka bir burs alıyorum (ör: BİDEB), bu durumda katılımcı araştırmacı bursu alabilir miyim ?
Cevap: Hayır, TÜBİTAK’tan aynı anda sadece bir burs alabilirsiniz. Katılımcı araştırmacı bursunu alabilmeniz için diğer TÜBİTAK bursunun bitmiş olması gerekir.
