Today, the production of knowledge in the fields of basic sciences has reached incredible heights, and human beings have gained the ability to understand and even intervene in natural phenomena that are far beyond their daily experience and difficult to imagine. While this knowledge has enriched the history of civilization, its practical consequences have led to tremendous technological and industrial development. Developed countries are constantly working to ensure that innovative basic knowledge is put into practice as soon as possible.

Lecture series are organized in many countries around the world in the name of scientists who have contributed to the development of humanity with their groundbreaking work. For example, the 'Schrödinger Lecture' is organized annually by the London Imperial College-Research University (United Kingdom) or the 'ICTP-Abdus Salam Lectures' are organized annually by the International Center for Theoretical Physics (Italy).
