The TÜBİTAK Research Institute of Fundamental Sciences (TBAE) will organize the “High Energy Astrophysics (TBAE HEAP’26)” Winter School, to be held between 2-6 February 2026. This school aims to provide both the theoretical background and experimental insights necessary for students aiming to conduct research in high-energy astrophysics, while also supporting early-career and active researchers in the field. The program will cover lectures delivered by leading experts from universities and research institutes. Topics will include compact astrophysical objects, radiative processes in high-energy astrophysics, cosmic rays, gravitational waves, neutrino astronomy, observational techniques, telescope and detector technologies, and approaches to multi-wavelength and multi-messenger astronomy. The school will also feature special talks highlighting the latest research developments in these areas.
Application Requirements:
While the school is open to everyone, M.Sc. & Ph.D. students, and post-doctoral researches in related fields are strongly encouraged to apply and will be given priority for the face-to-face (F2F) participation.
– Strong background in Physics and Astronomy.
– F2F application requires academic transcript(s)
– F2F participation is limited to 50 people
Online participation is available via Zoom.
– No prerequisities needed
Deadline for Applications: 18 January 2026
Application Form can be found here.
Event Poster can be found here.
